Torchdown is a waterproof membrane which is available in both smooth and granulated surfaces. The product consists of a base sheet of fiberglass matte and one to two layers of modified-bitumen saturated polyester matting. The top sheet can be coated in a granular surface allowing it to blend in with other colored roofing products. This granular surface also affords it the necessary protection against ultra-violet damage.

Torchdown is installed just as the name implies: with a torch. Its heat welded seams provide excellent performance over years of expansion and contraction.
